An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for the British Kidney Patient Association (soon to re-name to Kidney Care UK) as Patient Support & Advocacy Officer to assist covering London and the South East.
The British Kidney Patient Association (BKPA) is the leading national charity working to improve quality of life for kidney patients through advocacy, direct grants, educating and informing patients, counselling and funding patient-centred research, healthcare professionals and projects. The charity was established over 40 years ago to address the many issues associated with kidney disease and kidney failure.
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, sensitive and ambitious individual who has excellent communication skills and the ability to work with patients, carers, health professionals and relevant health and community stakeholder groups throughout London and the South East.
The successful applicant will join our team of experienced Advocacy Officers. Full training will be provided. The position will be home-based; travel within the region will be required. This opportunity may suit someone with kidney disease, a carer or family member or someone who has worked closely with people with long-term conditions.

Appeals and Individual Giving Fundraiser

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for The British Kidney Patient Association as an Appeals and Individual Giving Fundraiser.
This role is responsible for generating increased income across a number of appeals and individual giving revenue streams. The successful applicant will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to develop a series of multi-channelled appeals whilst building a committed giving programme. The role will also support the fundraising team to develop in memoriam donations and a major giving programme.
You will project manage the acquisition and retention programmes across all fundraising campaigns and develop the stewardship journeys for both existing and new supporters to ensure they feel valued and informed about the impact their vital contributions are making to Kidney Care UK.
You will have demonstrable experience of managing high volume multi-channelled campaigns backed up with a good understanding of supporter engagement techniques and tools. You should have an eye for detail and good creative, as well as good analytical, numeracy skills, written and oral communication skills.
