Please run for us in the London Marathon
No amount of money will free a child like Ioan from a lifetime on a kidney machine, only a successful kidney transplant can do this. In the meantime the British Kidney Patient Association works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for youngsters with kidney disease and their families. A donation of £275, for example, will cover the cost of a holiday for a young renal patient at a UK adventure centre. Running for the BKPA could help us to provide holidays for more children next year.
2007 Marathon runner David Brown said “I was proud and delighted to be able to raise over £1,300 for the BKPA and know that thanks to my efforts I have been able to cover the cost of five young kidney patients on an adventure holiday this year”
If you’ve got a place in the 2008 Flora London Marathon, but haven’t yet decided which good cause to support, please stop and spare a thought for those young renal patients who without your help might not get a holiday at all.
